President Biden has announced yet another plan to cancel student loan debt for millions of borrowers before he leaves office in January.  This desperate, last-minute attempt is an unlawful abuse of power.

When it struck down Biden’s original mass student loan cancellation plan last year, the Supreme Court sent the president a clear message: the Constitution gives Congress alone the power of the purse. He didn’t listen.

Now, just before he leaves office, the president is trying one last time to force taxpayers who didn’t take out student loans to pay the debts of those who did, ignoring that only Congress can decide how hardworking taxpayers’ money is spent.
